(computerworld) -- The Robonova-1 robot isn't some toy or a gadget that vacuums the rug. It's a kit that requires construction and programming.

But once built and programmed, it can defeat the neighbor's dog in a battle for dominance over the yard. Robonova-1 can also walk, run, do gymnastics and even dance.

The Robonova-1, which is about a foot high, comes with robot programming software and a remote control unit. You can also buy additional servos and modules to customize and add functionality.
