Apple and Dell prepping Blu-ray laptops

(gadgetshow) -- The word on the web is that two computing giants are getting ready to add a dash of Blu to their notebooks.

The firms in question are Apple and Dell, and the Internet stories claim that now that Blu-ray has won the hi-def format war, both are itching to get it into their products. Apple is reportedly attempting to get its hands on some slot-loading Blu-ray writer drives for its Macbook Pro range, while Dell is planning to launch a sub-$1,000 notebook with a Blu-ray reader (so no BD-burning) as early as this month. full story
