(next-gen) -- Grand Theft Auto IV outsold Wii Fit by more than nine units to one to debut at the top of the UK software chart.
The Rockstar title sold a record 926,000 units in just five days to take the top spot, raking in £39.9m in the process. According to sales monitor ChartTrack, 61.2 percent of the value of all software sold during the week in question was generated by GTA IV.
Wii fit sales, which were hampered by low stock, fell 58 percent, but the title only dropped one spot to No2.
Mario & Sonic at the Olympic Games was a non-mover at No3, Wii Play jumped from No15 to No4, while Mario Kart Wii rounded off the top five.
Sega was the only publisher to release a top 40 game during GTA IV week, with movie tie-in Iron Man: The Official Videogame debuting at No11.
