An ambulance spokesman said the teenager was pulled from the water by lifesavers at North Wall beach near Ballina at about 8.30am (AEST) this morning, and it appeared that the boy bled to death. “Lifesavers assisted him, but when paramedics arrived they found the boy deceased,” he said.
