Taiwan market: Samsung to launch five digital cameras, aims at 12% market share in 2008

(digitimes) -- Samsung Electronics on April 23 unveiled its HD video-capable NV24HD digital camera and four other digital cameras – the NV40, L210, L110 and L100 – for launch in Taiwan at the end of April. The company aims to attain a market share in Taiwan of 12% this year, according to Samsung Electronics Taiwan.

The NV24HD features a 10.2-megapixel resolution, a 2.5-inch 230,000-pixel AMOLED screen, 3.6x optical zoom, supports video recording at 30 frames per second at 720p resolution, has a dimension of 98.5×61.0×18.95mm and weighs 145.5 grams. The camera will sell for NT$13,960 (US$460), Samsung Taiwan indicated.

The recommended retail prices of the other four models are NT$9,960 for the 10-megapixel NV40, NT$8,990 for the 10-megapixel L210, NT$6,990 for the 8.2-megapixel L110 and NT$5,990 for the 8.2-megapixel L100, Samsung Taiwan noted.
