(gadgetshow.five.tv) -- Sky has announced a trio of new hi-def channels for its HD service, taking the total number to 13.
Sky Sports HD 3, Sky Movies Premiere HD and FX HD are all on course for launch within the next couple of months. Sky Sports HD will show, among other things, hi-def WWE wrestling and PGA European Tour golf, while Sky Movies Premiere will be kicking off with super-detailed versions of the likes of Blood Diamond, Flags Of Our Fathers, Babel and Titanic. FX HD will broadcast drama and sci-fi shows.
All this is good news for anyone with a Sky HD account already, as the new content won't cost them a penny extra - and it reinforces Sky's position as the only broadcaster that seems serious about delivering a proper, extensive high definition TV service.
