Metal Gear Solid director Kojima working on new title for 2009

After Metal Gear Solid 4 launches later this year, series mastermind Hideo Kojima will hit the ground running with a completely new title, due out sometime in 2009.

(gamepro) -- Metal Gear Solid series director, producer, and writer Hideo Kojima is officially done with the franchise when the fourth and final title in the series launches for the PS3 later this year, but he's by no means done with game development.

Over at IGN, a translated Nikkei BP interview with Konami president Fumiaki Tanaka revealed that Kojima is working on a concept for a new game, sans the Metal Gear universe. However, Tanaka said he couldn't reveal anything more at this point and that a formal announcement will not arrive anytime in 2008. full story
