As competition in the gaming market heats up, Microsoft has announced that it will reduce the price of its Xbox 360 gaming console in Canada by $50. The 20 GB unit will now be available for $349 instead of $399.
The second-generation Elite version, which adds an HDMI port, high-definition cable, and a sizeable 120 GB hard drive, has also dropped $50 in price, from $499 to $449; while the Halo 3 special edition model is now $399 instead of $449. Customers will also see a $20 discount reflected in the price of the entry-level, 256 MB Arcade model, which will now sell for $279, down from $299
