AVG is antivirus software that constantly updates its internal virus database and is ready to scan your computer at the click of a button. WinPatrol is a nice cookie manager that filters cookies. It is really convenient. You can set and put in any words that you want to filter out. Spybot search and destroy of course weeds out spyware and destroys it; self-explanatory. Zone Alarm provides a very good firewall protection system. It has many settings, one in which you can control which programs on your computer can access the Internet. It also blocks incoming signals. You can have it set to where every single thing incoming or outgoing needs your permission to go through; very useful.

These are all very efficient and they all work, and the best part is that they are all free.
